The Student Leadership Team at Evergreen Community Charter School successfully led the candidates forum on October 4, 2022. Five Asheville City Council candidates—Andrew Fletcher, Antanette Mosley, Allison Scott, Nina Tovish and Maggie Ullman—answered questions from the students and an audience of 50+ community members.

Led by Social Studies teacher Jesse Wharton, the 7th and 8th grade Student Leadership Team included Piper Graham, Charlie Tomlinson, Brodie Smith, Landon Edson, Isabella Toothman, Lucia Hess, Gabriel Enos, Gus Levin and Meg Butler.

The Haw Creek Community Association was pleased to co-sponsor this community event.
